The TusPark European Innovation Academy (TEIA) led the first Scottish government-funded trade mission into four cities: Macau, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Shanghai in mainland China. Four companies were selected for this mission, all in the health tech space, including spinouts from the University of Edinburgh and the Uni of West Scotland and an incubatee of The University of Edinburgh's AI accelerator.

The project is initiated by Techscaler, a project by the Scottish government comprising a £42 million fund to help Scottish companies grow and expand, managed by Codebase, the biggest tech incubator in Scotland.

The trade mission spent 4 days each in Macau and Hong Kong, 3 days in Shenzhen, and 4 days in Shanghai.

TusPark led the companies to industry conferences such as BEYOND in Macau, where the Scottish delegation was the first European company exhibiting here. They also visited the Macau University of Science and Technology to explore collaboration. They then joined the Asia Summit for Global Health and the Cancer Tech IP forum in Hong Kong, joining with a major delegation supported by the UK government's Department for Business and Trade. They were received at the British Consulate General in Hong Kong, at a reception headed by His Majesty's Director of Trade and Investment.

Crossing into Shenzhen, the companies visited the GMP manufacturing of SEC, and major tech industry companies like Tencent and BGI, before heading to Shanghai, where they were received by His Majesty's Consulate General at the Consulate in Shanghai. They also met with Shanghai-based organisations such as SSIC, Start and Golden Wing.

The trade mission was also noteworthy as it featured TEIA members such as Irwin Mitchell, Hawksford, Knight Frank and AON sharing their networks, industry knowledge, and professional learnings with the teams.

Travelling with TusPark UK across China, Hong Kong, and Macau was an exceptional deep dive into how innovation and infrastructure align at scale. From biotech clusters to investor roundtables, every stop offered fresh insight into how global partnerships can accelerate what we’re building at Tracker. Health.

"TusPark UK didn’t just open doors, they created a space for real connection, collaboration, and long-term thinking. I came back with sharper strategy, stronger networks, and a renewed sense of global possibility.”

"We are grateful to Tuspark UK for facilitating the first Scottish Government funded trade mission to China. The trade mission was well organised and has opened doors to valuable connections that will enable us to use China as our manufacturing base and accelerate our mission to save lives through overdose detection. We look forward to building on the momentum created by this visit."

"I was delighted to join the recent TusPARK mission into Macao, Hong Kong and China, run in coordination with TechScalar and a cohort of MedTech/BioTech/ HealthTech companies from Scotland. The breadth and quality of coverage for orientation into this super exciting and dynamic region and market was phenomenal. Although I am already very well familiar with this region, this visit was extremely helpful in supporting and augmenting the numerous tangents, initiatives and investments currently under Invereen Ventures' portfolio. We are also delighted and honoured to be a founding member of the TusPARK European Innovation Academy (TEIA). "
